Refund & Warranty Terms
At Techne Company, we strive to deliver high-quality, transparent, and reliable hardware maintenance and repair services. This Policy governs the warranties on parts and services we offer, our service cancellation policies, and the timelines for processing refunds.
1. Service Warranty (Up to 6 Months)
We stand behind the quality of our workmanship and the premium components we install:
- Genuine Spare Parts: New hardware components installed by our technicians (such as screens, batteries, keyboards, and storage drives) carry manufacturer-backed warranties or our direct service warranty of up to 6 months.
- Service & Labor Warranty: The labor and repair workmanship performed on-site by our certified professionals is covered under a 30-day post-service warranty.
- Exclusions: Warranty coverage is voided in cases of subsequent physical damage, liquid spillage, user tampering, unauthorized modifications, or OS-level software corruption caused by third-party installations.
2. No Fix, No Fee Guarantee
To ensure customer satisfaction, we operate under a strict "No Fix, No Fee" policy for our hardware repair services:
- If our technicians diagnose a device and determine that the hardware issue cannot be repaired, no service fee will be charged to the customer.
- For cases where a diagnostic visit is requested and performed, but the customer chooses not to proceed with the recommended repair, a standard diagnostic/visit fee of ₹499 applies.
3. Bookings & Cancellations
For B2B contracts, office IT maintenance, or on-demand on-site service bookings, please note our cancellation terms:
- Notice Period: Bookings can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled service time.
- Late Cancellations: If less than 24 hours' notice is given to cancel or reschedule an on-site service appointment, a cancellation charge equal to the standard visit fee (₹499) may be billed to cover dispatch overheads.
4. Refund Processing
Where a refund is approved by Techne Company (for instance, due to double billing, parts unavailability, or successful claims under our warranty policy):
- Processing Timeline: Refunds will be approved and initiated within 2-3 business days of verification.
- Credit Timeline: Once processed, the refund will be credited back to the original payment source (UPI, Net Banking, Credit/Debit card) within 7 business days, depending on your banking institution's processing cycles.
